The Elms of El Paso. I took this photo today on the way back to Chicago. This used to be a hopping restaurant. I remember going a couple of times as a child. It was about 40 minutes away from where I lived in the small town of El Paso, Illinois. It’s been replaced by several chain restaurants closer to I-39. It feels strange that I’m old enough to remember somewhere as vibrant busy place which is now a creaky old abandoned building.
